04/07/2023In this, the final book in the Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy trilogy, we follow George Smiley as he comes out of retirement and painstakingly builds a case against his nemesis Karla. The action flits between London, Paris, Hamburg and Bern as the threads are pulled together, coming to a climax in Cold War Berlin. Probably Le Carre's finest novel.
